Two types of courses on the RAMP tool provided by KTH

KTH is offering two types of courses on the RAMP tool:

  1. Open-for-all, fully online courses in English, which run during the first half of the year and
  2. Lifelong learning courses, in part in Swedish, consisting of the material in the Open-for-all courses and in addition online seminars and additional assignments, which run during the second half of the year.

These are described more in detail below.

The RAMP open-for-all fully online courses will run April 15 – December 12 2025 again

The popular, fully online, training package on the RAMP tool, now also include the news of the RAMP 2.0-version of the RAMP tool. In three courses you learn how to apply the whole risk management process, from risk identification, and risk assessment, to concrete action plans and follow-ups.  

These courses (in English) will run again between April 15 – December 12 2025. Information on how to enrol in the courses will be posted here April 1 2025.

In these three courses you learn how to apply the whole risk management process, from risk identification, and risk assessment, to concrete action plans and follow-ups. These courses aretaken online, are self-paced and free of charge. You can choose to study each course individually. Everyone is welcome to register and no specific prerequisites are required.

In RAMP Course 1: Assessment of Work-Related Injury Risks using RAMP I, you get an overview of the entire RAMP tool and you learn to identify and assess musculoskeletal (MSD) risks using the first module in the RAMP tool (RAMP I). 

In RAMP Course 2: Risk Management of Work-Related Injuries using RAMP II, you learn to use all four modules in the RAMP tool. This includes, for example, how to present results from risk assessments for different stakeholders within an organisation and how you create action plans for improvement.

In RAMP Course 3: Proficiency in using RAMP for Risk Management of Work-Related Injuries about RAMP, you learn to use all four modules in the RAMP tool and you become skilled in managing the whole risk management process and you will work with authentic cases from the business community.

The Courses are developed with support from; Scania , Avonova  and EIT Health , Loods Åkeri , Svenskt Butikskött AB , Ensto Ensek AS  and Arla Foods AB .

RAMP Lifelong learning courses are provided during the autumn 2025

KTH Royal Institute of Technology offers a training package on the RAMP tool as part of KTH’s Lifelong learning initiative, starting in the autumn again. The three courses (CH209V, CH210V and CH211V) now also include the news of the RAMP 2.0-version of the RAMP tool. They will be running sequentially, you learn how to apply the whole risk management process, from risk identification, and risk assessment, to concrete action plans and follow-ups.

These courses consist in part of the material provided in the “open-for-all” RAMP courses in English (please see above) and in part of digital seminars and assignments in connection to the seminars, mainly in Swedish. If you successfully complete the courses, you will earn 2.5 ECTS credits per course. The courses will be running sequentially during the autumn with Course 1 starting at the end of August (week 35) and the Course 3 ends mid December (week 50). You can apply to the courses between March 17 and April 15 2025 via the website antagning.se
